Randy Drake is a professional glamour photographer who travels around the world on shoots. He is a member of the Professional Photographers of America (PPA) and Florida Professional Photographers (FPP). He has graciously offered to do a one full day workshop with emphasis on lighting not the kind of camera you have. He will also show you how to convert any room into a photographic studio without spending thousands of dollars. On Saturday, March 22nd, he will bring the equipment needed to make a studio plus he will bring along a fashion model and her makeup artist. This workshop will be held in the end unit of Mucklow's Jewelry Store in Peachtree City which is of Crosstown Drive. Class starts at 8:30 A.M and runs until 6:30 Pm. Fused Dichroic Jewelry - with Gail Jensen
SATURDAY, MARCH 22nd, 10 am – 4:30 pm at the Fayette Art Center learn to create dazzling glass jewelry using dichroic glass. Learn about kilns, cutting, and fusing glass into stunning pendants, cabochons, earrings and more! Finishing, adhesives are all covered in this class. $125.00 plus $15.00 supply fee. Gail Jensen's work and studio have been featured in magazines and on HGTV’s television show “Look What I Did”. Peg Kersey from La Grange will be holding another jewelry class at the Fayette Art Center. PMC (Precious Metal Clay) is a fairly new product in which pure sterling silver is mixed with an organic compound forming a clay type substance. Once it is fired in a kiln, the organic compound burns out, leaving just the silver. $80.00 + $20 for materials.
PORTRAIT SCULPTURE WORKSHOP - Saturdays APRIL 12,19, 26, 10:00-4:00, at the Fayette Art CEnter. You will learn how to sculpt the basic features of a face on the first Sat., then how to build a head on an armature, and then how to apply physical features to the head. By the third day you will have a complete portrait bust. All clay and tools included. $295.00. The Art Center accepts credit cards.
