Center for Puppetry Arts Partners with BRAVE Public Relations

PR Firm to Publicize 2010-2011 Season and Aid in Branding Initiatives

The Center for Puppetry Arts is pleased to announce that the organization has retained the services of BRAVE Public Relations to publicize and promote productions for the 2010–2011 season. BRAVE PR will be responsible for strategic public relations planning, distributing press materials for productions to local, regional and national media, fielding press requests, booking interviews and coordinating press coverage during engagements. BRAVE PR will also assist in branding programs for the Center for Puppetry Arts to help further position it in the market and the Atlanta community.

Since 1978, the Center for Puppetry Arts has brought entertainment and education to the Atlanta community, while enacting its mission to “nurture the world community of artists, expand the puppetry art form, and explore the past, present, and future of puppetry.” As the largest non-profit organization in the United States devoted to puppetry, the Center for Puppetry Arts is a true Atlanta treasure, with performances, workshops, Distance Learning and outreach programs that touch the lives of children and adults locally and nationally.

Having served as the agency of record for Broadway Across America – Atlanta since 2006, BRAVE Public Relations’ work in promoting theater productions provides insight and experience to help the Center for Puppetry Arts garner additional exposure for its shows. A focal point for the agency will be Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer; adapted and directed by Jon Ludwig, this holiday show will be a faithful adaptation of the 1964 television special – live on stage for the first time!

“The Center for Puppetry Arts has an incredible 32 year history of entertaining, educating, and enriching lives. Our Artistic and Production staff consistently produce what is considered to be some of Atlanta’s finest theater, while our Museum and Education staff continuously to find new ways to help educators teach children about history, science, health, and much more. The timing is right to engage a firm that will help us expand our presence so that we may celebrate the amazing art form of puppetry with even more families and adults,” explained Marketing Director Daniel Summers, Jr. “Brave PR’s enthusiasm and experience seem a perfect fit!”
