71 Artists Join Online Registry of Southern Talent

The Southern Arts Federation (SAF) and partner state arts agencies are pleased to announce the addition of 71 artists to their juried, online, artist registry -- SouthernArtistry.org.

SouthernArtistry.org is a free, online registry dedicated to showcasing the lives and work of outstanding visual artists, writers, performers, filmmakers, and arts educators who are living and working in the South. Each artist on the registry has been nominated by one of nine state arts agencies in the region based on the quality of their work.

Since its launch in 2004, more than 1,300 nominees have been added to the site.

Because SouthernArtistry.org features an adjudicated registry, arts presenters, collectors and other patrons who use the site can be assured that their search results will include outstanding artists in each genre.

To search for artists by name, state of residence, artistic discipline, classroom experience, general services offered, and/or public art experience, or to sign up for the Quarterly Showcase e-newsletter, visit www.SouthernArtistry.org.
