This Year’s Theme: “The Rural South”
The deadline to enter the nationally recognized “SlowExposures” annual photo exhibition in Georgia is midnight, Tuesday, June 15th. Professional and amateur photographers are invited to submit their work.
Pike Historic Preservation, producers of “SlowExposures,” recently announced the call for photographers for the juried photograph exhibit that takes place during the last two weeks of September.
Photographers may submit up to six images for $50. All work must be original to the artist and photographs must have been taken within the last four years. Photographs may be color or black and white; using traditional or digital processes or elements of both.
One thousand dollars in total awards will be given to the first, second and third place winners of this fall’s show. “Honorable Mention” ribbons and a “People’s Choice” prize will also be awarded.
The “SlowExposures 2010” jurors are Brett Levin, Director of the Visual Arts Gallery of the University of Alabama at Birmingham and Jack Spencer, Master Photographer based in Tennessee.
“SlowExposures 2010” is staged September 17 through September 26 at the historic R. F. Strickland Building in Concord, Georgia, 60 miles south of the Atlanta airport.
All entries must be submitted online at the new “SlowExposures” website --- www.slowexposures.org using the online registration form and payment by PayPal or credit card.
Other “SlowExposures 2010” events include additional photography exhibits in satellite locations, the Salon at the Whiskey Bonding Barn for photographers, a Portfolio Review and much more.
