Offshoot Productions, a professional, non-Equity theatre based in Fayette County, is holding auditions for Tales from Near and Far, a company-developed participation play for children. The show will tour schools, libraries and camps throughout the metro-Atlanta area from late April to mid-July. Actors, who receive a stipend for each performance, must have a flexible schedule for these daytime shows.
Auditions are set up individually, by appointment, and will take place January 26-February 8 at various locations in Fayette County. Auditions consist of a prepared comic monologue or story (under three minutes), plus improvisation and interview. Previous interactive performance experience is a plus.
Offshoot is also seeking an additional member of the Gallery Players, an improv troupe performing for adult audiences. Actors may audition for the play, the improv troupe, or both.
Actors should be 21 or older. There are no restrictions as to gender, ethnicity, or any other demographic factor.
